How do you make your characters come to life? Storytellers have a toolkit of performing techniques that have been passed down for thousands of years. While somewhat like acting, there are some very important storytelling differences as well. In this class, we will work on voice, (tonality, breathing, pauses, etc.) physicality (Stance, Internal vs External etc.) , key gestures (Sensory locks, meta language, etc.), audience reading (eye contact, meta-language, etc.), working within a space (building buy in, group meta language, etc.) taking control of your environment (lighting, distractions, improv) and much, much, more. If you are a Game Master, or a LARPer who wants to raise your character’s believability to the next level, this is the class for you.
